2 Day, In-Person Head Spa Training Course
What to Expect
Expert-Led Training
Learn from Sam, the founder of House of Healing- A fully qualified, Level 6 teacher and Holistic Therapist, with in-depth knowledge of the scalp, body systems and ancient/modern healing techniques. You’ll gain access to Sam’s expertise and mentorship throughout the course and receive CPD certification in Swedish Massage and Head Spa after completion. Giving you everything you need to be able to offer deeply restorative Head Spa treatments to your clients, from complete beginner status.
Comprehensive Curriculum
Covering everything from the history of the treatment, anatomy (including scalp health, conditions and hair types), Health and Safety in the Beauty industry, massage techniques and much much more. This course is designed for complete beginners, with no existing qualifications required.
Supportive Learning
Enjoy 1:1 in-person practical mentorship, as well as ongoing post-course support, including continued access to our community group chat of like-minded practitioners and professionals offering 24/7 support and advice.

No previous experience is required for our 2-day course! All you need is a passion for wellness and an interest in helping others promote deep relaxation.

To receive your certification, you’ll need to complete a short, multiple choice assessment, as well as showing a willingness to learn and participation during your practical days.

Our group training is held in Maidstone, Kent. Part of the training will be carried out in the classroom and part will be carried out in the treatment room.

2 full days of small group (max 4), in-person training in a private studio.
Day 1 will consist of training in Swedish Massage to accompany your Head Spa treatments. This will include anatomy, techniques, contraindications, hands-on practice and health and safety. This is to ensure you are easily insurable and are able to offer the service with no pre-existing qualifications.
Day 2 will consist of training in Head Spa, covering anatomy, analysing the scalp under microscope, different hair types, modifications, creating immersive experiences, product recommendations, sequences and advice on getting started, etc.
You will need to complete a short, multiple choice assessment covering both anatomy and treatment based questions, to demonstrate your understanding at the end of the training.
You will need to show a willingness to learn and participate in the practical training days.
Upon completion of your training days and multiple choice assessment, you will receive your certificate, accredited by CPD, making you a qualified Head Spa Practitioner.

All learning materials will be provided. Fresh water and snacks will also be provided.
Please ensure your hair is tied up and jewellery is removed.
Please wear loose clothing you do not mind getting oil on.
Please bring a packed lunch. Alternatively there is a small Tesco, Subway and Dominos within a few minutes (walking), should you wish to buy lunch instead.
If you have any allergies, please notify us before your training.
Two spaces will be kept free on the drive as well as lots of free parking around the area, should these be taken.

Comprehensive Curriculum
This 1-day course is designed for professionals already in the industry, with a pre-existing qualification in Hairdressing, Massage Therapy, Beauty Therapy or equivalent. Covering everything from the history of the treatment, anatomy (including scalp health, conditions and hair types), Health and Safety in the Beauty industry, massage techniques and much much more. If you do not hold a qualification in any of the above, please book our 2-day Head Spa Course instead.

1 full day (6 hours) of small group (max 4), in-person training in a private studio.
The day will consist both theory and practical learning. You will have the opportunity to practice giving and receiving a head spa treatment. Theory will include anatomy, techniques, contraindications, modifications, health and safety, as well as scalp conditions, different hair types and analysing the scalp using a microscopic camera.
Practical learning will include sequencing, techniques, massage, pressure control, consultations, creating an immersive experience, set up, ergonomics, advice on getting started and product recommendations.
You will need to complete a short, multiple choice assessment covering both anatomy and treatment based questions, to demonstrate your understanding at the end of the training.
You will need to show a willingness to learn and participate in the practical training days.
Upon completion of your training day and multiple choice assessment, you will receive your certificate, accredited by CPD, making you a qualified Head Spa Practitioner.
